USER EXPERIENCE ( Between Youtube & Skill Share)

Why do we need another video platform to give tutorial or educating people. If youtube already have content like that.

1. Because of the Content policies, the Average Skill Share video is higher quality than Most of the Video available in Youtube. In both videos and quality Content.

2. The Video collection on Skill Share is much more user experience than youtube videos. All video available on Skill Share must meet the standard video quality and audio unlike youtube where no rules is made on video quality.

3. Skill Share have higher quality but less content than youtube because anyone can post as many times on youtube and there are lot of dublicated content on YouTube than on Skill Share.

4. On youtube you have to false your self to be entertaining to keep viewers watching, ads are shown which can be very disturbing, most youtubers wouldn't reply to your questions, and too much unnecessary videos.

But on Skill Share videos are strictly for educational purpose, no ads, the lessons are based solely to teach you unlike Youtube the creators just want to keep you watching weather you are learning from them or not.

5. Skill Share have strict guideline unlike Youtube which have few compared to them.

6. Every classes and videos on Skill Share are owned and generated by the original creator not like Youtube where you can find dublicated contents and most videos are not owned by the Youtubers.

7. Video quality on youtube can be Scaled from 1-10, but on Skill Share is scaled from 5-,10.

8. On Skill Share you learn things more quickly than on Youtube.

Here is an example: If I search an Android development and Web design which am into on Youtube I will find lot of videos on it, the downside of this is that these Videos teaches you mainly little to no content to you. But unlike Skill Share the Videos are done for learning purpose, each videos are made for specific audience which is either a beginner, intermediate or Advance level.

9. Youtube is not organised, and Contain inrelevant resources on setten Skills, but on Skill Share you will find organised Videos classes and Project on a Skill you want to learn.

10. On Skill Share you will find lot of professional on Skill Share willen to teach you on their field, but on Youtube anyone can assume to be a professionals and you might be confused. Cause it will be hard for you to separate inrelevant From relevant especially when you are a beginner.

CONCLUSION

Your result might be little different from mine, We all learn at different places and the Content you are viewing  and the type of Skill you want to learn would be different from mine.

ALTERNATIVES TO SKILL SHARE

UDEMY: Which have a different model to Skill Share, You have to pay for any cause you want to learn unlike Skill Share which have a Monthly or Yearly fees which covers all classes. Udemy gives you a life time access on any Courses you pay for. A certification is issued upon conclusion of any of the classes, Unlike Skill Share which is based on learning, and improving your skull and building projects you can use for your portfolio.

Cousera have models like Skill Share, Udemy, and College model. You can earn college degree from the sites , but it depends on the class you want to learn. They are free classes, specialised courses you have to pay to get access After 180 days it would be renewed, and they are also lifetime courses.

 MY PERSONAL CONCLUSION

I really subject you take a look of at the contents you want to learn on skill share, watch some of the introduction Videos and see if you enjoy the teacher and the content. You can also check out free classes also don't forget you can pay either a monthly or go yearly fee to get access to all the classes. Happy learning.
